Singer Daesung is making a highly anticipated comeback with his first mini album, "D’s WAVE", set for release on April 8 at 6 PM KST. This marks his return one year after his previous single, signaling a new chapter in his solo career.
On March 18, his agency R&D Company (D-Lable) officially announced the news, unveiling a teaser image for the upcoming album. The image features Daesung surrounded by a stand microphone, dressed in an all-black ensemble, exuding a charismatic and sophisticated aura that has heightened expectations for his new music.
Daesung last released his single "Falling Slowly" in 2023, showcasing his signature emotional vocal style through a poignant ballad. The song was well-received internationally, peaking at No. 16 on the Worldwide iTunes Top Songs chart.
In addition to his music, Daesung actively engaged with fans through live performances. He held his first-ever solo fan event, "D’s ROAD," and completed the Japan live tour "D’s IS ME", further cementing his presence as a solo artist.
Despite venturing into his path, Daesung continues to maintain strong ties with his BIGBANG bandmates. He recently joined G-Dragon and Taeyang on stage at the MAMA AWARDS and even made a special appearance as a guest at Taeyang’s encore concert.
Beyond music, Daesung has expanded his influence into digital content. His YouTube channel, "ZIP DAESUNG," has gained massive popularity, amassing over 1.13 million subscribers in less than a year, proving his appeal as a multi-faceted entertainer.
As anticipation builds, all eyes are on April 8, when Daesung will unveil "D’s WAVE" and once again showcase his artistic evolution.
