Moviegoers have four new films to choose from this week, ranging from science fiction action to comedy dramas. The lineup includes the latest installment in the Predator franchise, a Hollywood remake of a Korean cult classic, a South Korean friendship comedy, and a Japanese anime adaptation.

"Predator: Badlands," the ninth film in the iconic Predator series, opened in U.S. theaters on November 5. Directed by Dan Trachtenberg, this sci-fi action thriller follows an undersized Yautja warrior played by Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi who crash-lands on a dangerous alien planet. The warrior must team up with a humanoid robot, portrayed by Elle Fanning, in order to survive the hostile environment.

Also opening November 5 is "Bugonia," a comedy-thriller directed by acclaimed filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos. The film stars Jesse Plemons and Aidan Delbis as two conspiracy theorists who kidnap a pharmaceutical company CEO played by Emma Stone, believing she is actually an alien planning to destroy Earth. This American production serves as a remake of the 2003 Korean cult classic "Save the Green Planet!"

From South Korea comes "The First Ride," which opened on October 29 as a comedy-drama exploring longtime friendship. Directed by Nam Dae-joong, the film follows four childhood friends played by Kang Ha-neul, Kim Young-kwang, Cha Eun-woo, and Kang Young-seok. After maintaining their friendship for 24 years, the quartet finally embarks on their dream overseas vacation, but their carefully planned trip descends into chaos when an unexpected companion, played by Han Sun-hwa, joins their group.

Rounding out the new releases is "Chainsaw Man The Movie: Reze Arc," a Japanese action-fantasy film that opened on September 24. Directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara, this theatrical continuation of the popular anime series is based on Tatsuki Fujimoto's manga. The story centers on Denji, a devil hunter who has been fused with his chainsaw devil named Pochita, as he encounters a mysterious girl called Reze in this latest chapter of the supernatural saga.
