SEOUL, South Korea — Shin Hae-sun and Ahn Bo-hyun have been cast as the lead roles in the upcoming tvN series, "See You in My 19th Life," which is set to premiere in June.
Based on the webtoon of the same name by Lee Hey, the series follows the story of Ban Ji-eum (Shin), a woman with a supernatural ability to remember all of her past lives. After a tragic accident ends her previous life, Ji-eum sets out to reconnect with people from her past in her current life. Ahn plays the character of Moon Seo-ha, the heir of a wealthy family who is dealing with trauma from a car accident.
The series will be directed by Lee Na-jeong, known for her work on popular TV shows such as "Fight for My Way" (2017), "Love Alarm" (2019), and "Mine" (2021).
Lee stated, "Our first goal was to keep everything from the original webtoon, but slightly add new layers to the story. I tried to expand stories of Ji-eum's past lives and tell the backstory of Seo-ha apart from his romantic relationship with Ji-eum."
Shin made her debut with the 2012 teen series "School 2013" and gained widespread recognition for her performance in the 2017 mystery thriller series "Stranger." She has also starred in films such as "Innocence" (2020) and "Collectors" (2021).
Ahn has starred in numerous popular series since debuting with the 2016 film "Hiya," including "Itaewon Class" (2020), "Yumi's Cells" (2021), and "My Name" (2021).
"See You in My 19th Life" is anticipated to captivate audiences with its unique concept and talented cast.
