According to SayArt on July 29, Korean Association of Arts Management and Jeongdong Theater have selected three regional arts venues through the 2026 Outstanding Content Distribution Program for Local Performing Arts Centers. The initiative is the first joint project following a memorandum of understanding signed by the two organizations in May.

The selected venues are Taebaek Culture & Arts Center, Yeju Culture & Arts Center, and Sejong Gugak Center.

The program will begin on September 18 with the jukebox musical The Pied Piper at Taebaek Culture & Arts Center. The production is built around songs by Korean singer-songwriter Song Chang-sik.

On October 15, Yeju Culture & Arts Center will present Gwangdae, a traditional theatrical production that has been part of the Jeongdong Theater Company's repertoire since 2021.

The final production, The Story of Seocheon Flower Garden, will be staged at Sejong Gugak Center on December 19. The pansori shadow puppet performance reinterprets a sacred flower garden myth from the shamanic traditions of Jeju.

Separately from the public selection program, the two organizations also plan to present a repertoire production at Ulleung Hanmaeum Hall. The specific production is currently under discussion and is expected to be announced later this year.

The program is expected to expand access to nationally produced performing arts by bringing established productions to regional cultural venues across South Korea.
