Boynextdoor’s third mini-album, “19.99,” sold nearly 610,000 copies on its release day, marking a new career high for the boy group, according to local sales data released Tuesday. The EP, which dropped on Monday, made a significant impact with all songs, except for the English version of the lead track “Title Guy,” entering Melon’s Top 100 chart.
Pre-orders for the album reached over 810,000, reflecting the group’s growing popularity. The first-day sales surpassed the total first-week sales of their previous EP, “How?,” which had sold 530,000 copies. “How?” had also earned Boynextdoor their debut on the Billboard 200, landing at No. 93.
Band members Jaehyun, Taesan, and Woonhak contributed to writing five tracks on the new album, candidly reflecting on the struggles and concerns of youth approaching adulthood, a theme represented by the album title “19.99.”
