YG Entertainment has outlined its upcoming projects for the second half of the year, featuring new releases by girl group Babymonster and boy group Treasure. Yang Hyun-suk, YG founder and executive producer, made the announcement in a three-minute video posted on YouTube on Monday.

Earlier this year, YG Entertainment increased its number of music producers from 10 to 50 to expedite the introduction of new projects.

Babymonster is set to release its first regular studio album in October. Prior to the full album release, one of the album's songs will be released in early July, accompanied by a music video and promotional appearances on TV and radio. Additionally, a performance video for “Like That,” a song composed by US pop singer-songwriter Charlie Puth, will be released this month. "Like That" is a b-side track from Babymonster’s first EP, "Babymons7er," which was released on April 1.

The group is currently on an Asia tour and will introduce a new song, "King Kong," during a two to three-week break. Members Choi Hyun-suk and Yoshi contributed to the lyrics, with composition by producers including Airplay, Jared Lee, and Choice37. The new single is expected to showcase a strong performance and energetic style. Treasure’s next album is planned for release in the fall.

Treasure’s second Asia tour, "2024 Treasure Relay Tour Reboot," began in Manila on May 4. The group will also embark on a fan meeting tour in Japan in July.
