V of BTS continues to break records, this time becoming the only K-pop artist to have three songs chart on Billboard's Holiday Hot 100. According to Billboard’s December 21 rankings, V’s rendition of White Christmas, a duet with Bing Crosby, entered the chart at No. 65.
This marks V’s third entry on the Holiday Hot 100, following Christmas Tree in 2021 and last month’s duet with Park Hyo Shin, Winter Ahead. All three tracks also debuted at No. 1 on the Holiday Digital Song Sales chart, further cementing V’s status as a global music phenomenon.
V’s achievements have garnered widespread acclaim from international media. Billboard included Winter Ahead in its “27 Best Winter Songs” list, praising the track for evoking the spirit of the season. The outlet noted, “The song captures the essence of the first day of winter, with V and Park Hyo Shin’s harmonies resembling fresh snowflakes.”
Christmas Tree, a fan favorite from 2021, was previously recognized as one of the “25 Best Christmas Songs of the 21st Century.” Critics lauded its poetic lyrics, describing lines such as “Your light is the only thing keeping the cold away / The moon of a summer night / The whispers of stars” as deeply evocative.
V’s ability to resonate with global audiences through his soulful performances and emotive storytelling has positioned him as a standout figure in K-pop. His latest success with White Christmas further expands his repertoire, bridging classic holiday traditions with modern artistry.
As V continues his mandatory military service with the Military Police Special Task Battalion, his artistic contributions remain highly impactful. He is set to be discharged on June 10, 2025, and anticipation for his post-service activities is already building among fans worldwide.
With his holiday-themed releases, V has proven his versatility and timeless appeal, redefining what it means to be a global artist in the modern music landscape. His consistent presence on significant charts highlights the enduring charm of his artistry, ensuring his legacy continues to grow.
