Addressing Controversy at Press Conference for Netflix's "The 8 Show"

Actor Ryu Jun-yeol addressed the recent dating rumors involving him and actor Han So-hee for the first time during a press conference for Netflix's "The 8 Show" on Friday.

At the event held at a hotel in Seoul, Ryu responded to questions about his silence during the public speculation about his relationship and subsequent breakup with Han. He expressed his perspective on the matter, stating that he chose to remain silent amidst the controversies to avoid exacerbating the situation and to protect his colleagues.

Ryu acknowledged the criticism he faced during this period and emphasized his ongoing self-reflection since his debut. He noted that personal matters require an appropriate setting for discussion and expressed his belief in addressing them at a more suitable time.

Meanwhile, "The 8 Show" is scheduled to premiere on May 17, offering viewers a unique exploration of human desires within a capitalist society. The drama portrays the lives of eight individuals trapped in a secretive space divided into eight floors, where they participate in a perilous yet lucrative show.
