In a significant development, Yeo One, Yanan, Yuto, Kino, and Wooseok, prominent members of the beloved K-pop boy group Pentagon, have chosen not to renew their exclusive contract with Cube Entertainment. The agency confirmed this decision in an official press release, expressing gratitude for the members' seven-year journey and extending well-wishes for their future endeavors.
Addressing the transition, Yeo One conveyed his intention to seek new challenges to enhance his performances for the devoted Pentagon fandom, known as "Universe," in a heartfelt letter. Despite parting ways with Cube Entertainment, Yeo One emphasized his continued presence as a dedicated Pentagon member for Universe.
Pentagon, which debuted in October 2016 as a ten-member ensemble, experienced a pivotal moment in November 2018 when E'Dawn, also known as Dawn, left the group. Renowned for their chart-topping tracks like "Shine," "Naughty Boy," and "Critical Beauty," the group's trajectory now appears uncertain with five of its nine members departing from the agency. The K-pop community eagerly awaits updates on Pentagon's future endeavors and creative direction.
