In an electrifying kickstart to their journey, K-pop powerhouse Ive launched their inaugural world tour, "Show What I Have," with a two-day extravaganza at Seoul's Jamsil Arena over the weekend. This pulsating event unfolded just days before the group's much-anticipated comeback scheduled for Friday.
During a press conference held at the concert venue on Sunday, the members of the six-piece girl group expressed their elation at realizing a long-held dream of hosting a concert. Wonyoung, one of Ive's members, remarked, "It was our dream to hold a concert... I'm delighted that my dream and biggest goal has come true in two years."
Titled "Show What I Have," the concert represents Ive's dedication to showcasing fresh elements — from new songs and performances to an overall reinvention of their appeal. The event was a platform to offer fans an early glimpse of Ive's upcoming album, "I've Mine," set for release on Friday. The album marks a continuation of their narrative while embarking on a new artistic journey.
Notably, "I've Mine" features a significant departure for Ive, presenting three title songs: "Either Way," "Off the Record," and "Baddie," a departure from their earlier releases. This shift allows the group to explore diverse perspectives of their individual and collective identities.
Reflecting on Ive's evolution, the members emphasized their commitment to self-reflection and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to share their growth through uplifting songs. Looking ahead, Wonyoung and Yujin spoke of their aspirations for global recognition and the desire for Ive to remain authentic, resonating with audiences regardless of age or musical preference.
As Ive continues to carve its path in the dynamic world of K-pop, their unwavering dedication to staying true to themselves ensures a bright future, leaving an indelible mark in the music industry.
