SEOUL — Jin of BTS held an offline fan event in eastern Seoul on Saturday to mark the release of his latest solo EP Echo, describing it as “the happiest time” of his life and expressing gratitude to fans whose support “has left a lasting resonance in my heart.”
The event, titled Don’t Say You Love Me @ Seongsu, took place at Anderson C in Seongsu-dong and was also streamed live via global fan platforms Weverse and TikTok, allowing international fans to join virtually.
Jin opened the event with a live performance of the EP’s title track, “Don’t Say You Love Me,” followed by other songs from the album, including “With the Clouds” and “To Me, Today.” During breaks, he answered fan-submitted questions and shared behind-the-scenes stories about the creative process behind Echo.
While discussing “With the Clouds,” Jin said he imagined clouds and children as representations of himself and his fans, adding an emotional layer to the track’s meaning.
He also announced plans for an upcoming solo fan concert tour, which is scheduled to begin on June 28 and 29 at Goyang Sports Complex Auxiliary Stadium. Jin described the tour as “fun and unconstrained.”
On the day of the EP’s release, May 16, “Don’t Say You Love Me” debuted at No. 9 on Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Global chart, accumulating over 3.62 million streams. Other tracks from Echo — including “Nothing Without Your Love,” “Loser” (featuring Yena), “Rope It,” “With the Clouds,” and “Background” — also entered the chart.
In Japan, the title track topped Oricon’s Daily Digital Single Ranking on the same day, highlighting Jin’s continued popularity in the region.
