At the iHeartRadio Music Awards 2024 in Los Angeles, NewJeans was honored with the title of best new artist in K-Pop.
The five members expressed gratitude to their fans for their unwavering support, acknowledging their role in providing motivation for their daily endeavors, during a video acceptance speech.
Notably, the rookie girl group has garnered attention and accolades in the past year. They were awarded the top global K-pop artist trophy at the Billboard Music Awards last year and were recently recognized as the group of the year at Billboard's Women in Music Awards.
Their second EP, "Get Up," achieved significant success by topping the Billboard 200 chart, making them the fastest K-pop artist to reach the No. 1 spot on the main albums chart. Despite being just a year old, the quintet has already placed five songs on the Hot 100 chart.
Looking ahead, NewJeans is set to release a new single on May 24 and will make their debut in Japan the following month.
