Agencies Confirm Breakup Following Public Announcement of Romance

Actor Lee Jae-wook's agency, CJes Studios, announced on Tuesday that Lee Jae-wook and Karina of aespa have decided to end their relationship, citing Lee's desire to focus on work. Karina's agency, SM Entertainment, confirmed the breakup.

The breakup occurred just five weeks after Karina and Lee Jae-wook publicly confirmed their romantic involvement on February 27.

The two initially met at Prada’s 2024 fall-winter men’s collection show in Milan on January 14.

In protest against Karina's dating life, some fans rented trucks equipped with LED screens displaying messages of disapproval, parked outside SM Entertainment headquarters in Seoul.

Additionally, Lee faced accusations of controversy regarding his previous dating history. Rumors circulated online alleging his involvement with another actor prior to his relationship with Karina. In response, CJes Studios threatened legal action against those spreading such rumors.

Lee recently appeared in the Disney+ series “The Impossible Heir,” while Karina is set to star in the upcoming Netflix reality series “Agents of Mystery,” expected to premiere in the second quarter of this year.

Karina is also scheduled to embark on a world tour with aespa in June.
