JYP Entertainment’s newest boy group, KickFlip, is making waves even before their official debut. On January 13, the group released new teaser photos for their first mini-album, Flip it, Kick it!, via their official social media channels. The teasers exude youthful energy, capturing the members in cozy settings enjoying music, eating pizza, and embracing the freedom of youth.
KickFlip has already garnered global attention, earning a spot on Grammy.com’s “8 K-Pop Rookies to Watch in 2025.” Their pre-debut track, 응 그래 (Yeah, Sure), released on January 6, has further fueled excitement. The song’s music video climbed to 9th place on YouTube’s Worldwide Music Video Trending chart as of January 7, signaling the group’s strong global appeal.
To amplify the anticipation, KickFlip is rolling out a variety of debut promotions. On January 20, the group will perform on Mnet M2’s debut show at 7 PM, followed by a debut showcase at 9 PM. These events are designed to introduce their unique identity and connect with fans.
Adding to the excitement, a Flip it, Kick it! pop-up experience will take place from January 25 to February 2 at The Hyundai Seoul in Yeongdeungpo-gu. This special event will immerse visitors in the world of KickFlip, showcasing themes from their album and offering exclusive content.
The group’s name, KickFlip, is derived from the skateboarding trick where the board rotates 360 degrees, symbolizing their ambitious and daring approach to music and performance. Consisting of seven members, the team embodies a youthful, adventurous spirit that aligns with their dynamic concept.
JYP Entertainment’s meticulous planning and the group’s pre-debut success have set the stage for a highly anticipated debut. With their unique sound and compelling performances, KickFlip is poised to make a lasting impact on the K-pop industry and beyond.
