NCT WISH has been nominated for the Best New Artist (K-pop) category at the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards. The nominations, announced on January 22 (local time), highlight the group’s rapid ascent in the global music scene since their debut just a year ago. The prestigious ceremony, hosted by iHeartRadio since 2014, recognizes artists and songs with the highest airplay across its network over the past year. The event will take place this March.

Debuting in February 2024, NCT WISH quickly established itself with a series of successful releases, including their debut single Wish, their second single Songbird, the mini-album Steady, and their Japanese full-length album Wishful. Their uplifting tagline, WISH for Our WISH, encapsulates their mission to deliver hopeful messages and dynamic performances, solidifying their refreshing and energetic image.

The group’s mini-album Steady surpassed 800,000 pre-orders, setting a record among 2024 debut artists. It also earned NCT WISH several rookie awards at domestic music ceremonies. Meanwhile, their Japanese album Wishful achieved international acclaim, debuting at No. 1 on the Oricon Daily Album Chart. These milestones underscore the group’s growing influence both domestically and abroad.

In addition to their commercial success, NCT WISH recently released a remake of Super Junior’s iconic hit Miracle on January 22, showcasing their versatility and paying homage to their label seniors. The group will perform the track live on KBS-2TV’s Music Bank.

The nomination for an iHeartRadio Music Award represents another milestone in NCT WISH’s promising career, further elevating their global profile. With their distinctive sound, energetic performances, and international recognition, NCT WISH continues to captivate audiences and set new standards for rookie artists.
