BTS member Jin has joined the nation in mourning the victims of the tragic Jeju Air crash at Muan International Airport by postponing the release of scheduled content. BigHit Music announced the decision on December 30, emphasizing solidarity with the victims and their families during this difficult time.

The agency shared a statement on its official social media account, saying, “We extend our deepest condolences and sympathies to the victims of the aviation disaster and their bereaved families.” To honor the national mourning period declared by the government, the release of episode 16 of Jin’s web variety show, Run Jin, has been postponed.

The accident occurred on December 29, when Jeju Air Flight 7C2216 attempted to land at Muan Airport. The aircraft collided with airport infrastructure during its emergency landing and was engulfed in flames. Among the 181 passengers on board, 179 tragically lost their lives, marking the worst aviation disaster in South Korea’s history.

Authorities have recovered all victims’ remains and are working to identify them for transfer to their families. Funeral arrangements will be made in consultation with the bereaved families.

BigHit Music’s decision reflects a broader trend within South Korea’s entertainment industry to adjust schedules and participate in the national mourning. Various events, including award shows, concerts, and content releases, have been postponed or canceled in solidarity with the victims and their families.
