In response to criticism from sexual minorities and fans alleging queerbaiting, South Korean K-pop artist IU, represented by Edam Entertainment, has modified the title of her upcoming single. Originally named "Love Wins," the title has now been amended to "Love Wins All."

Edam Entertainment issued a press release on Friday acknowledging the concerns raised and explaining the decision to change the title. The agency expressed a commitment to respecting and supporting individuals who live and love in diverse ways. The initial title, "Love Wins," was perceived as potentially contributing to queerbaiting, a practice that implies non-heterosexual relationships to attract an LGBTQ+ audience without explicitly depicting such relationships.

However, the title sparked concerns about potential queerbaiting, prompting the agency to reconsider and modify it to "Love Wins All."

The hashtag "Love Wins" gained prominence in 2015 when the US Supreme Court ruled in favor of the right of same-sex couples to marry. It has since been widely used to commemorate victories for marriage equality.

The agency emphasized its hope that the new title, "Love Wins All," scheduled for release on January 24, will convey the intended message of love prevailing in a world without hate. The single features V of BTS, who also stars in the accompanying music video.
