A striking new fish-inspired sculpture has been installed at the Huron River Boat Access Facility on Cleveland Road East (U.S. Route 6), thanks to a generous donation from members of Fish Huron Ohio. The unique artwork was recently unveiled to serve both aesthetic and practical purposes for the local fishing community.
The stainless-steel sculpture functions as a dual-purpose installation, combining public art with a trophy board feature. This innovative design will allow anglers to photograph themselves with their catches while simultaneously showcasing Huron as a premier fishing destination to visitors and residents alike.
According to a city statement, the sculpture was officially donated to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. Under the terms of an existing agreement between the state agency and the city, Huron Parks & Recreation will assume responsibility for the ongoing management and maintenance of the artistic installation.
Local government officials have expressed their gratitude to Fish Huron Ohio members for their community contribution. They repeatedly praised the organization's generosity and emphasized how the donation enhances one of Huron's finest public recreational spaces, further cementing the city's reputation as a fishing-friendly destination along Lake Erie.
