2PM’s Jang Woo-young to Drop First Solo Single in Eight Years

SEOUL — Jang Woo-young, a member of K-pop boy band 2PM, is set to return with his solo single “Simple Dance” on June 23, marking his first new solo release in nearly eight years.
“Simple Dance” will be Jang’s first solo project since his second Korean EP, released in January 2018. He first debuted as a solo artist in 2012 with the EP 23, Male, Single after launching his career with 2PM in 2008.
Jang has also built a strong presence in Japan, having released three solo albums there. His most recent Japanese EP, Off the Record, was released on June 7, 2023.
Last year, Jang reconnected with fans through two meet-and-greet events held in Seoul on August 3 and 4. He also joined fellow 2PM members Jun. K and Nichkhun for their ENWJ concert series, performing in Tokyo, Taipei, and Bangkok.
