David Zwirner will take part in Frieze London's prestigious 20th anniversary edition, showcasing captivating new artwork from a group of renowned artists. The gallery's booth will feature creations by Shio Kusaka, Josh Smith, Rose Wylie, and Portia Zvavahera, showcasing the breadth of contemporary artistry.
In a dedicated section, the exhibition will honor the remarkable artistry of Frank Walter, coinciding with a monographic exhibition at the Garden Museum in London. The presentation at Frieze will also unveil compelling work by Katherine Bernhardt, Marcel Dzama, Oscar Murillo, Bridget Riley, Thomas Ruff, Wolfgang Tillmans, Luc Tuymans, and Lisa Yuskavage. The booth will proudly display significant works by esteemed artists such as Marlene Dumas, Gerhard Richter, and Al Taylor.
Notably, Frieze London attendees will be treated to a remarkable sight—the unveiling of Josh Smith's largest sculpture to date, titled "Friend, 2023," at Frieze Sculpture in Regent's Park until October 29. The event, running from October 11-15, promises a vibrant celebration of contemporary art and creativity.
In parallel, David Zwirner's London Gallery is set to open an exciting exhibition titled "Liu Ye: Naive and Sentimental Painting" on October 10. Presenting recent paintings by the esteemed Chinese artist Liu Ye, this marks his second solo presentation with the gallery and a significant return to the London art scene after nearly two decades.
