South Korean Police Submit Information to Court as Singer Seeks Damages

The 31-year-old singer is seeking 30 million won ($23,000) in compensation for damages allegedly caused by the accusations.
Edam Entertainment stated that they are currently verifying the information of the accuser in compliance with the law, refraining from disclosing specific details at this time. The agency emphasized its commitment to not tolerate any attacks against IU.
In May, IU faced accusations of plagiarizing six of her songs. However, legal authorities determined that the allegations did not warrant criminal charges. Notably, IU was the singer for all six songs but participated in composing only one, which was not included in the copyright violation allegations.
