Jennie continues to solidify her position as a powerhouse solo artist, setting multiple records with her first full-length album, Ruby.
According to Hanteo Chart, Ruby sold 661,130 copies in its first week, marking the highest first-week sales for a K-pop female soloist in 2024. This achievement further cements Jennie’s commercial dominance in the industry.
Her success extends beyond South Korea, as Ruby made a historic entry at No. 9 on Apple Music's Top Albums chart in the U.S.—the highest debut ever for a K-pop female soloist. Additionally, the album peaked at No. 2 on Apple Music’s Top Albums chart in Europe, making Jennie the highest-ranking K-pop female solo artist in the region.
The album’s title track, like JENNIE, has also been met with overwhelming success, ranking at the top of major domestic streaming platforms. It debuted at No. 12 on Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Global chart and has since climbed to No. 7, reflecting its growing global impact.
Other tracks, including Handlebars (feat. Dua Lipa), ExtraL (feat. Doechii), and Love Hangover (feat. Dominic Fike), have also secured high positions on global streaming charts, proving the album’s widespread appeal.
Jennie is set to celebrate the release of Ruby with a special "The Ruby Experience" showcase at Inspire Arena on March 15. As anticipation builds, all eyes are on Jennie to see how far she will push the boundaries of K-pop as a soloist.
