Group Incorporates Traditional Korean Elements into Performance at Iconic Music Festival

Ateez, a K-pop boy group, made history as the first-ever K-pop boy group to headline the annual Coachella Valley Music Festival in southern California. Their performance on the main stage was livestreamed on YouTube, where they expressed gratitude to the audience for their support.

During their performance, Ateez presented a medley of their hit singles, such as "Say My Name," "Hala Hala," and "Crazy Form," integrating traditional Korean cultural elements. This included the use of a large flag adorned with symbols representing the four guardian deities and background graphics inspired by the ancient decorative technique known as "jaagae."

Furthermore, Ateez incorporated the traditional Korean circle dance play "ganggangsulae" into their choreography and invited the Bongsan Mask Dance Drama Preservation Society to join them on stage.

Following their Coachella debut, Ateez expressed gratitude to their fans for their support and promised to strive for even greater stages in the future. They are scheduled to perform a second show at Coachella on Friday, as the festival continues until April 21 at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California.
