NewJeans, the K-pop sensation that debuted under agency ADOR in July 2022, has garnered international acclaim with their second EP, "Get Up," released in July. The album, recognized by both Rolling Stone and The New York Times, solidifies the group's status as a major player in the global music scene.

Rolling Stone's "The 100 Best Albums of 2023," released on Nov. 30, features "Get Up" at No. 33, marking the group's second consecutive year on the prestigious list. The album, characterized by its infusion of Y2K-era R&B and U.K. garage/drum-and-bass sounds, was praised by Simon Vozick-Levinson, Rolling Stone's deputy music editor, for its "super-elastic hooks" and "retro-futuristic production."

Pop music critic Jon Caramanica described the EP as "the most modern, most progressive, and most slick pop release of the year," applauding the group's adaptability to various styles, including sultry R&B and pop-jungle.

The album's global recognition is further underscored by its distinction as the only K-pop album featured on British GQ's "The Best Albums of 2023." The announcement came days prior to The New York Times and Rolling Stone's lists.

NewJeans, known for their chart-topping hits such as "Attention" (2022), "Hype Boy" (2022), and "Ditto," secured the top honors at the 2023 MAMA Awards, winning both Artist of the Year and Song of the Year. The group's continuous success highlights their prominent position in the ever-evolving landscape of K-pop.
