NewJeans, a Korean girl group, is set to mark a historic moment as they join the esteemed lineup for ABC's New Year's Eve show, "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest," according to their agency's announcement on Thursday.

Running from New Year's Eve into the early hours of the following day, the show showcases performances by the year's top musical talents and features the iconic countdown event at Times Square.

NewJeans is slated to become the first K-pop girl group ever to grace the stage of this renowned New Year's Eve celebration. Previous K-pop acts that have performed at the show include Psy, BTS, J-Hope, and Tomorrow X Together.

During this year's broadcast, NewJeans is scheduled to perform their hit singles "Super Shy" and "ETA," adding a unique K-pop flavor to the star-studded event.
