Blackpink's music video for "Ddu-du Ddu-du" has surpassed 2.2 billion views on YouTube, YG Entertainment announced Monday. This achievement solidifies Blackpink's record for the most-viewed music video by a K-pop artist.
"Ddu-du Ddu-du" is the lead single from Blackpink’s first EP, "Square Up," released in June 2018. The song topped all domestic music charts and reached No. 50 on Billboard’s Hot 100, while the EP itself peaked at No. 50 on the Billboard 200. Both were record achievements for a K-pop girl group at the time. The track has also accumulated nearly 700 million streams on Spotify.
Additionally, the performance video for "Ddu-du Ddu-du" reached 500 million views on YouTube as of last month.
