Modhaus, the agency representing the highly anticipated subunit Odd Eye Circle of the popular girl group Artms, announced on Thursday that the trio is preparing to make a comeback with their new EP, titled "Version Up," scheduled for release on July 12. This exciting news comes after a period of inactivity for Odd Eye Circle, during which its members focused on group activities as part of Loona under BlockBerry Creative.
Comprising members Kim Lip, Jinsoul, and Cheorry, Odd Eye Circle made their debut in 2017 with the EP "Mix and Match," solidifying their position as the second subunit of the widely adored girl group Loona. The subunit's momentum continued with the release of their repackaged album, "Max and Match," later that same year. However, the trio subsequently took a hiatus from their subunit activities to concentrate on Loona's group endeavors.
Earlier this year, the three members of Odd Eye Circle, alongside Heejin from Loona, brought their exclusive contracts with BlockBerry Creative to court, citing unfair clauses that disadvantaged the artists. In a favorable ruling for the four members in March, the court paved the way for their transition to Modhaus, a new agency established by Loona's former producer. The members officially joined Modhaus the following month, marking a fresh chapter in their musical careers.
Under Modhaus, which was founded in 2021 by industry veteran Jaden Jeong, a former producer and director at esteemed labels such as JYP Entertainment and Woollim Entertainment, the agency embarked on its ambitious Artms project. Initially consisting of four members, Modhaus later welcomed Haseul, another talented member of Loona, to further enrich the collective's artistic endeavors. Currently, Artms maintains an active presence through engaging videos on YouTube, captivating fans and building anticipation for future releases.
With the highly anticipated release of "Version Up," Odd Eye Circle is poised to reinvigorate their subunit activities after a six-year hiatus. In addition, the trio has exciting plans for their devoted international fanbase, as they prepare to embark on the "Volume Up" European tour starting in August. This much-awaited tour will take the talented artists to captivating cities such as London, Berlin, Warsaw, and Paris, where they will deliver captivating performances and connect with their dedicated fans.
