NewJeans' latest single, "How Sweet," ranked No. 7 on Billboard’s Global Excl. US chart, according to a chart preview published Monday. This marks the group's fifth top 10 hit on the weekly chart. Another track, "Bubble Gum," sat at No. 18 after debuting at No. 166.
"How Sweet" also achieved No. 12 on Billboard’s Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart. Domestically, it claimed the No. 2 spot on Melon’s Top 100, one position above "Bubble Gum."
The double single album sold over 810,000 copies on its release day, although this is lower than their second EP, "Get Up," which sold over 1.65 million copies in its first week.
Additionally, NewJeans was the only K-pop act included in Billboard’s "21 Under 21," which highlights the most influential young artists in the music industry.
