Fifty Fifty, a South Korean girl group, has accomplished a remarkable feat on the British Official Singles Chart, as their debut single "Cupid" has stayed in the top 100 for four consecutive weeks. The catchy tune has climbed up the ranks and now sits at 26th on the chart, eight places higher than the previous week, according to the latest chart revealed on Friday.
The four-member group made their debut just five months ago and quickly rose to fame after a sped-up version of "Cupid" went viral on TikTok. The song has become a fan favorite for its upbeat melody and memorable lyrics, which are delivered with the group's unique charm.
"Cupid" is the lead track from the quartet's first single album, "The Beginning: Cupid," which was released on February 24. The song first entered the chart at No. 96 late last month, and since then, it has steadily climbed up the ranks, reaching 61st, 34th, and 26th positions in the past three weeks, respectively.
Meanwhile, popular BTS member Jimin has slipped down the rankings with his debut solo single, "Like Crazy," which is the lead track from his first solo album. This week, the song ranked 65th, 27 spots lower than the previous week.
Despite the drop in rankings, "Like Crazy" has still achieved significant success, as it debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes Top Songs charts in over 100 countries and regions, including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. The song showcases Jimin's soulful vocals and emotional lyrics, which have resonated with fans around the world.
Fifty Fifty and Jimin's achievements on the British Official Singles Chart are a testament to the global appeal of K-pop music and the popularity of South Korean artists in the international music scene. With their unique sounds and captivating performances, these artists continue to capture the hearts of fans around the world.
