In the annual report for 2023 released by Luminate, an American music and entertainment industry data research firm, seven out of the top 10 best-selling pop music CDs in the US were K-pop albums. Pop superstar Taylor Swift claimed the remaining three spots.
Taylor Swift's "Taylor's Version" secured the top position, boasting a total of 800,000 sales. The singer's 10th studio album, "Midnights," and "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)" occupied the eighth and ninth spots, each selling around 260,000 copies.
JYP Entertainment's Stray Kids made a notable presence with their third studio album, "Five-Star," and the eighth mini album, "Rock-Star," selling approximately 520,000 and 380,000 copies, securing second and fourth places.
Twice, who recently completed an arena tour in the US, occupied the sixth position by selling 300,000 copies of their twelfth EP, "Ready To Be."
