Renowned Korean artist Ukn (Jaden) Lee is set to host an exhibition in Germany alongside three fellow artists. The exhibition, titled "Idiosyncrasies," will showcase the unique works of these talented individuals.
Korean artist Ukn (Jaden) Lee, who pursued his art education in Germany, has established a distinct artistic realm influenced by renowned pre-medieval masters like Fra Angelico and Piero della Francesca. Notably, in 1996, Lee undertook an apprenticeship under the esteemed master Nobert Tadeusz, propelling his skills as a painter to new heights.
In the upcoming exhibition titled "Idiosyncrasy," inspired by the ancient Greek word, Korean artist Ukn (Jaden) Lee's distinctive and emotionally-charged works will take center stage. Having received his artistic education in Germany, Lee has cultivated a unique artistic vision influenced by pre-medieval masters. Notably, Lee underwent apprenticeship training with master painter Nobert Tadeusz in 1996, propelling his skills to new heights.
Prominent German art critic Michael Stoeber contributed an article to the exhibition, amplifying its significance. Stoeber highlights the unconventional nature of this exhibition, which emphasizes the individuality and unity of the four participating artists. Often, group exhibitions are curated based on thematic, formal, or material similarities, leading to individual artists sacrificing their artistic identities. However, this exhibition breaks that mold by celebrating the distinctiveness of each artist. Stoeber specifically acknowledges Lee as a dedicated painter with a unique conceptualization of imagery, where his works evoke memories akin to living organisms.
The exhibition will also feature the internationally renowned artist Ottjörg, who has collaborated with Lee, as well as a sculptor and painter NK Doege, photo artist Marta Djourina and Bettina Scholz.
During an interview with SayArt, Lee expressed his excitement about the exhibition, stating, "For approximately 25 years, I have focused on the human form. However, this exhibition marks the first time I can showcase my new works, influenced by the profound changes brought about by the pandemic."
Additionally, Lee has plans to hold a separate exhibition in Korea, scheduled to open in October.
