Excitement is building as the highly anticipated Korean action comedy animation, "Shasha & Milo," gears up for its local and global premieres in the second half of this year.
During the prestigious 2023 Annecy International Animated Film Festival and Market in Annecy, France, the world's largest event for the animation industry, "Shasha & Milo" secured distribution deals with Chinese and Latin American distributors, according to the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA).
In its home country, "Shasha & Milo" will be released on public education TV channel EBS, providing Korean audiences with an opportunity to enjoy the adventures of the lovable characters. Internationally, the animation has found distribution partners in Shenzhen-based media company Tencent for the Chinese market and Warner Bros. Discovery for Latin America. Furthermore, KOCCA revealed that negotiations are underway with other overseas companies, indicating the potential for additional international releases. Pingo Entertainment, the production company behind "Shasha & Milo," is actively exploring these opportunities.
"Shasha & Milo" centers around the captivating story of Sasha and Milo, two 12-year-old characters blessed with extraordinary superpowers. They harness their abilities to transform into cats and human-cat hybrids, using their newfound forms to protect their island home from the clutches of evil forces.
