Enhypen has been known for crafting an intricate narrative universe since their debut in November 2020, engaging listeners with imaginative storytelling woven into their songs. The previous album, "Dark Blood," integrated a storyline presented in their web-comic series, "Dark Moon: The Blood Altar," an Enhypen-inspired fantasy romance thriller.
Belift Lab stated that "Orange Blood" will delve deeper into creative elements using Enhypen's intellectual property and introduce fresh content, potentially paving the way for innovation in the K-pop industry.
Enhypen is a multinational group comprising Japanese and Korean singers who debuted through Hybe's audition program "I-Land." The group is currently on their "Fate" concert series tour in the United States, having started in Seoul in July. They have already performed in Japan's Osaka and Tokyo, as well as various cities in the United States, and are scheduled for their next performance in Newark.

Before the official announcement, Belift Lab released a trailer for the upcoming album on the band's social media, providing a glimpse into the album's theme. The trailer conveyed a message hinting at the continuation of the blood-themed storyline introduced in "Dark Blood," stating, "You and I are connected through 'Blood.'"
