KBS confirmed that girl group (G)-IDLE will release their cover of Brown Eyed Girls' "Abracadabra" on Friday at 6 p.m. The cover was initially performed on KBS2's music show "The Seasons: Lee Hyori’s Red Carpet" during its February 2 episode.
(G)-IDLE's version of "Abracadabra" infuses the original 2010 track with a faster BPM from the G-house genre, offering a contemporary and refined interpretation, as reported by KBS.
The cover is part of KBS's "The Seasons" album project, which releases songs performed on the program. Previous releases from the project include covers by artists like boy band Enhypen and singer-songwriter Kim Min-seok of the duo Melomance. The project is a collaboration between KBS and music and entertainment company CJ ENM.
