The forest resulting from this effort will be named the "AKMU Forest of Love." Donations to Severance Hospital will support individuals with rare, incurable diseases, while those to KYCWI will aid in mental health treatment for secluded and isolated teenagers unable to attend school.
According to YG Entertainment, AKMU selected these organizations and causes due to their personal connection to Mongolia, where the siblings spent their childhood, and their desire to assist teenagers facing challenges integrating into society.
AKMU debuted under YG Entertainment in April 2014 with their first album, "Play." In March, in celebration of their 10-year milestone, the duo announced the name of their fan club, Akkademy, and will host two concerts in June to further commemorate the occasion.
