Lisa of the globally acclaimed K-pop group Blackpink will release a new single, "Rockstar," at 9 a.m. on June 28, according to a statement from her distributor, Sony Music Entertainment Korea. This release marks her first individual musical project since her solo album "LaLisa" in September 2021.
On June 27, Lisa shared the artwork for "Rockstar" on the official Instagram of her newly established label, Lloud Company. The single represents the first collaboration between Lloud Company and RCA Records, a subsidiary of Sony Music, one of the major music distributors in the United States.
Lisa, who has garnered significant recognition both as a member of Blackpink and as a solo artist, achieved notable chart success with her solo tracks "LaLisa" and "Money," which charted on the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart. Her work has earned her the Best K-pop award at the MTV Video Music Awards and the MTV Europe Music Awards in 2022.
Additionally, Lisa launched a TikTok account where she released a teaser clip for "Rockstar," quickly amassing over 1 million followers within two hours, setting a new world record for follower growth on the platform.
Lisa is also expanding her career into acting and will appear in the upcoming season of the HBO original series "The White Lotus."
