The New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA) is partnering with the Paris-based art institution The Community to launch “The Salon by NADA and The Community” from October 17th to 20th. This new satellite fair will coincide with the third edition of Paris+ par Art Basel and will be held in Paris’s lively 10th arrondissement, with the exact venue to be announced later this year. The event will feature four days of multidisciplinary cultural activities, including art, music, fashion, and publishing.
This marks NADA’s first full event outside the United States, although they previously collaborated with Art Cologne from 2013 to 2016. The Salon will host around 50 galleries, offering a more intimate experience than NADA’s larger fairs in Miami and New York. The collaboration with The Community promises an unconventional format and an “alternative cultural experience.” The Salon will also take place alongside the 10th edition of Paris Internationale, known for showcasing young and influential galleries in unique venues.
Heather Hubbs, NADA’s executive director, highlighted the expanding art scene in Paris as a key reason for choosing the location. “The scene there just seems to be expanding so much,” she said, noting that it was the most popular option for expansion among dealers. The Community has previously organized notable exhibitions in Paris, including a show on Tove Jansson, the creator of the Moomins.
