An official from HYBE, the leading K-pop entertainment company and home to BTS, has been questioned by police in connection with a breach of duty accusation against Min Hee-jin, the CEO of HYBE’s subsidiary Ador. The Yongsan Police Station in Seoul interviewed the unidentified HYBE official, who is the complainant in the case, according to police officials.
HYBE filed the complaint against Min in April, alleging that she attempted to usurp managerial control of Ador, the label behind the popular girl group NewJeans. Min denies the accusation.
In a related legal matter, a Seoul court is currently deliberating on an injunction filed by Min to prevent HYBE from dismissing her as CEO of Ador at the shareholders' meeting scheduled for May 31.
