Philippe El Roueilly, a certified arborist and tree pruning specialist, has transformed his professional tools into instruments of art, creating stunning sculptures with his chainsaw. His unique artwork is currently on display in a storefront window in the town of Ceaucé, located in the Orne department of France.

The exhibition space, housed in the former Provost bar, came to life through a collaboration with Charly Foisneau, the technical services manager for Ceaucé. Foisneau wanted to breathe new life into the previously bare storefront window, providing a perfect venue for El Roueilly's distinctive chainsaw sculptures.

El Roueilly has been actively seeking to establish himself more permanently in the village of Ceaucé, which he describes as "pleasant, where you feel good, and it has all the amenities." He is looking for a house to shelter his family, along with approximately one hectare of land and a building to house his equipment. The craftsman emphasizes the need for the workshop to be "a bit isolated from the village, as the machines are noisy and we shouldn't disturb the neighbors."

Currently based on the Route de Cigné for the past seven years, El Roueilly serves a clientele primarily located in Mayenne, though many customers also come from Ceaucé. This customer base has motivated his desire to expand his operations into the Orne department. As a diploma-holding arborist, he not only practices his trade but also trains young apprentices as well as individuals undergoing career transitions, who are referred to as "regions" in the training program.

El Roueilly's passion for sculpture emerged from an unexpected source – a simple request from his son who wanted a mushroom sculpture. This family moment sparked what would become his second career passion. After successfully creating the mushroom for his child, El Roueilly discovered his artistic talent and began developing his skills in chainsaw sculpture.

Among his displayed works is a beautifully crafted bear sculpture, showcasing the level of detail and artistry he can achieve using his chainsaw techniques. The precision and creativity demonstrated in his pieces reveal how professional tree care skills can translate into remarkable artistic expression.

The exhibition represents more than just an artistic showcase; it's part of El Roueilly's broader integration into the Ceaucé community. His work bridges the gap between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary art, while his teaching activities contribute to preserving and passing on specialized skills to the next generation.

For those interested in El Roueilly's work or services, he can be reached through his business "Arbre et Passion" (Tree and Passion) at 06.59.47.27.30. His story demonstrates how professional expertise can evolve into artistic expression, creating beauty from the same tools used in everyday tree maintenance work.

The chainsaw sculpture exhibition in Ceaucé's former Provost bar storefront continues to attract attention from locals and visitors alike, highlighting the unique intersection of practical skills and creative artistry that defines Philippe El Roueilly's distinctive approach to both his profession and his passion.
