The Korean Cultural Center, Los Angeles, under the direction of Haedon Lee, successfully conducted the 2025 K-POP Academy in Irvine from August 4 to August 8 at UC Irvine. This comprehensive five-day program attracted approximately 60 participants, comprising both college students and teenagers eager to immerse themselves in Korean pop culture and performance arts.

Participants received intensive training in both K-pop vocals and dance from professional instructors who brought extensive experience from Korea's entertainment industry. The program featured systematic instruction from seasoned artists who have performed on major broadcast networks and concert stages throughout Korea, providing students with authentic and high-quality training that mirrors professional standards in the K-pop industry.

The academy's curriculum was designed to give participants hands-on experience in the fundamental elements of K-pop performance, including vocal techniques, choreography, stage presence, and performance skills. Students worked closely with their instructors throughout the week to develop and refine their abilities in these areas, building both technical skills and confidence in their performances.

The program culminated in a special recital on the final day, where participants had the opportunity to showcase the skills and techniques they had developed throughout the intensive training week. Family members and friends were invited to attend this concluding performance, and the audience responded with enthusiastic applause, celebrating the remarkable progress and achievements of the young performers.

The success of the Irvine session represents just the beginning of the 2025 K-POP Dance & Vocal Academy tour. The program will continue its educational mission with another five-day session scheduled to begin on August 14 in Portland, Oregon, extending the opportunity for K-pop education and cultural exchange to students in the Pacific Northwest region.
