Beverley Art Gallery is calling on local artists to submit their artwork for an upcoming open exhibition that will showcase diverse talents from the community. The gallery, which is housed within the historic Champney Treasure House in East Riding of Yorkshire, is accepting submissions across various artistic styles and mediums for this inclusive showcase.
Hannah Willetts, the curator of Beverley Art Gallery, emphasized the significance of this opportunity for regional artists. "This open exhibition is a wonderful opportunity for artists to share their talents," Willetts stated, highlighting the gallery's commitment to supporting and promoting local artistic expression. The exhibition represents a platform for both emerging and established artists to display their work in a professional gallery setting.
Artists interested in participating have until September 13 to submit their entries, giving them ample time to prepare and select their best work for consideration. The gallery is accepting pieces created in a wide variety of artistic styles and mediums, ensuring that artists working in different disciplines—from traditional painting and sculpture to contemporary mixed media and digital art—can participate in this inclusive exhibition.
The selected artworks will be displayed in Beverley Art Gallery's main exhibition space, located within the Champney Treasure House, providing artists with professional presentation and significant exposure to the public. In addition to the curatorial selection, visitors to the gallery will have the unique opportunity to participate in a People's Choice Award, where they can vote for their favorite piece among the exhibited works, adding a democratic element to the artistic celebration.
Those interested in submitting their work can obtain entry forms through two convenient methods: they can collect physical forms from the East Riding Museums desk located on the first floor of the Champney Treasure House, or they can download the submission forms directly from the gallery's online resources. This dual accessibility ensures that all local artists can easily participate in the submission process regardless of their preferred method of application.
