Gyeonggi Province will host a series of free cultural performances at the Peace Plaza Book Cafe in Uijeongbu on December 15 and 16, celebrating the theme, “Joy and Warmth at the Book Cafe: A Year-End Reading Culture Performance.” The provincial government announced the event on the 11th, inviting residents to enjoy the festivities as the year comes to a close.
The performances promise an engaging and family-friendly atmosphere. On December 15 at 2 PM, the lineup kicks off with a Christmas puppet show titled “Who’s the Real Santa?” This lighthearted performance reimagines the story of Christmas through the adventures of woodland animals in a charming forest village, offering plenty of laughter and holiday cheer for all ages.
On December 16 at noon, celebrated guitarist Kim Na Rin will present a “Noon Concert” featuring her dynamic guitar-playing techniques and captivating stage presence. The musical performance is expected to provide an inspiring and entertaining experience for attendees.
Both events are free of charge, ensuring accessibility for a broad audience. The performances aim to foster a sense of community and joy, aligning with the Book Cafe’s mission to promote cultural engagement and relaxation through reading and artistic expression.
The Peace Plaza Book Cafe, situated within the Gyeonggi Northern Government Complex, has been a hub for cultural enrichment in the region, hosting various events throughout the year. These year-end performances are set to close the calendar with warmth and excitement, enhancing the venue’s reputation as a cultural landmark.
Attendees can visit the Gyeonggi Peace Plaza Book Cafe website (lib.gg.go.kr) for further details about the performances and related events. With its accessible programming and inviting atmosphere, the event underscores Gyeonggi Province’s commitment to fostering cultural connections within its communities.
