YG Entertainment’s rookie girl group BABYMONSTER is set to close 2024 with a spectacular performance, marking their first-ever year-end stage appearance. According to YG Entertainment on December 10, the group will perform at the 2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon on December 25, held at Incheon’s Inspire Arena.
BABYMONSTER will present a special band version of DRIP, one of the double title tracks from their debut studio album of the same name. As this is both their first and only domestic year-end stage of 2024, anticipation is running high among fans and the industry alike.
Since their debut, BABYMONSTER has captivated global audiences with powerful live performances and engaging activities. Their promotions for DRIP included music show appearances, fan meetings, and festival performances, showcasing their exceptional talent and stage presence.
YG Entertainment teased an upgraded performance for the event, saying, “This stage is a gift to fans who supported BABYMONSTER throughout their debut year. The newly arranged version of DRIP will feature even more powerful energy and dynamic choreography, heating up the year-end atmosphere.”
The night will also highlight the legacy of YG Entertainment with a special moment for fans. Iconic girl group 2NE1, who recently reunited for their 15th anniversary concert, will also perform at SBS Gayo Daejeon. This marks their first appearance on the show in a decade. The reunion of two YG girl groups—2NE1 and BABYMONSTER—is expected to draw significant attention and excitement.
In addition to their year-end activities, BABYMONSTER is set to release the music video for their follow-up track, Love In My Heart, on December 16. They will also appear on major Japanese music shows, including TV Asahi’s Music Station on December 27 and TBS’s CDTV Live! Live! on December 28, further connecting with their global fanbase.
Looking ahead, BABYMONSTER will kick off their first-ever world tour on January 25-26, 2025, at Seoul’s KSPO Dome, a remarkable achievement for a rookie group. Their tour will extend to major international venues, including stops in New Jersey and Los Angeles in the U.S., and Kanagawa, Aichi, Osaka, and Fukuoka in Japan, signaling their rapid rise as a global K-pop sensation.
