Acclaimed Actor's Agency Confirms Participation in Director Cha Jung-yoon's Feature-Length Debut

Nexus ENM, the agency representing renowned actor Song Ji-hyo, has officially announced her return to the big screen in the upcoming film "House of Meeting." This marks Song's first movie project in over three years, following her appearance in the 2020 mystery thriller "Intruder." 

▲ Courtesy of Nexus ENMScheduled to commence filming in January, "House of Meeting" features Song Ji-hyo in the lead role of Tae-jeo, a corrections officer with five years of experience in a prison setting. The narrative takes an unexpected twist as her character encounters the daughter of one of the inmates under her supervision.

The film, set to be the directorial debut of filmmaker Cha Jung-yoon, known for the 2016 short film "Nagayo," is positioned to showcase Song Ji-hyo's transformative performance. Nexus ENM, in their official release, expressed anticipation for audiences to witness Song's true colors as a "trusted actor" in this new cinematic venture.

Director Cha Jung-yoon highlighted Song's deep gaze and charming voice as integral elements that will uniquely enhance the delicate sentiment of the film. Song Ji-hyo, whose debut film was "Wishing Stairs" in 2003, has had a diverse career spanning various movies and series, including the 2006 period series "Jumong" and the 2018 crime film "Unstoppable." Additionally, she has been a fixture on the long-running variety show "Running Man" since 2010.
