EXO member Chanyeol has joined hands with renowned Chinese cellist and actress Ouyang Nana for a unique musical collaboration. According to SM Entertainment on December 14, the two artists will release a Chinese remake of EXO’s beloved track Baby Don’t Cry.

This collaboration is part of the Galaxy Ark Project (은하방주 프로젝트), organized by Douyin, China’s leading short video platform. Douyin reportedly extended a special invitation to both Chanyeol and Ouyang Nana for this highly anticipated reinterpretation.

The Chinese version of Baby Don’t Cry will feature a revamped arrangement centered on deep bass and orchestral string sounds, showcasing the duo’s unique artistry. The song is set to be released on major music platforms on December 15, promising to deliver a fresh take on the EXO classic.

Chanyeol, known for his versatility as a rapper, vocalist, and producer, adds a new dimension to the track with his distinctive style. Meanwhile, Ouyang Nana, celebrated for her musical talent and acting career, enriches the collaboration with her expertise in string arrangements and performance. The synergy between the two artists has raised expectations among fans globally.

This collaboration marks another milestone in Chanyeol’s busy year. Currently on his first solo live tour, he has already captivated audiences in multiple cities. The tour will conclude with performances in Hong Kong on December 21–22 and Kaohsiung, Taiwan, on December 28.

Baby Don’t Cry, originally part of EXO’s 2013 album XOXO, remains a fan favorite for its emotional lyrics and delicate composition. The remake with Ouyang Nana adds a modern, cross-cultural twist, bringing the classic to a broader audience.
