NewJeans has once again demonstrated its global popularity by achieving another streaming milestone on Spotify. The group’s track “Cool With You,” one of the three title tracks from their second EP, “Get Up,” has surpassed 200 million streams on Spotify, making it NewJeans’ 10th song to reach this impressive number. According to Spotify, as of November 6, “Cool With You” amassed a total of 200,186,529 plays.
“Cool With You” was originally released in July last year and quickly gained recognition by entering the Billboard Hot 100 chart, a rare feat for K-pop songs. The track, known for its distinctive UK garage beat and the unique, restrained vocal style of the members, gained further attention for its music video featuring renowned actors Tony Leung and Jung Ho-yeon.
To date, NewJeans has accumulated a remarkable 13 songs with over 100 million streams on Spotify. “OMG” leads the group’s streaming count with over 700 million plays, while “Ditto,” “Super Shy,” and “Hype Boy” each have more than 600 million streams. Their debut track “Attention” has exceeded 400 million streams, and “New Jeans” has surpassed 300 million streams. Additional songs like “ETA,” “Cookie,” and “Hurt” have each crossed the 200 million mark, while “ASAP,” “Get Up,” and “How Sweet” have each garnered over 100 million streams.
NewJeans’ cumulative Spotify streaming count has reached a staggering 5.4 billion, underscoring the group’s rapid rise as one of K-pop’s most-streamed acts globally. Their continued growth reflects not only their appeal among international listeners but also their ability to dominate charts and playlists across multiple platforms.
With this latest achievement, NewJeans has solidified its presence on the global music stage, especially significant given that the group debuted only in 2022. The ongoing success of tracks like “Cool With You” and their increasing Spotify milestones are a testament to the group’s versatility and innovative sound, resonating across diverse audiences worldwide.
