South Korean band Hyukoh, known for their dreamy and emotionally resonant music since their debut in 2014, is commemorating their decade-long journey with a special exhibition, Funeral for a Friend. This limited-time exhibition will be held at Arario Gallery Seoul from February 14 to 17, 2025, offering visitors an immersive, participatory experience unlike any other.

One of the key highlights of the exhibition is a newly composed 14-minute track, created specifically for this event. The piece serves as a reflective musical statement on the band’s past ten years, blending Hyukoh’s signature sound with a narrative that encapsulates their evolution. Fans and art enthusiasts alike will have the rare opportunity to experience this exclusive composition in a setting designed to enhance its emotional depth.

Unlike conventional exhibitions, Funeral for a Friend invites active audience participation, aligning with Hyukoh’s artistic vision of blurring the boundaries between performer and listener. Attendees will not only observe but also engage with elements curated to evoke a collective experience of memory and passage. The exhibition's title, referencing both departure and tribute, hints at a conceptual exploration of time, change, and farewell—central themes in Hyukoh’s music.

The event will take place across multiple floors of Arario Gallery Seoul. From February 14 to 16, visitors can explore the exhibition and a capsule collection shop, which will feature exclusive merchandise. Entry during this period requires prior reservation through KREAM, ensuring a controlled and immersive environment. On the final day, February 17, only the capsule collection shop will be open, accessible via on-site waiting.

Hyukoh has consistently pushed artistic boundaries, extending their creative expression beyond music into fashion and visual arts. This exhibition continues that interdisciplinary approach, presenting their decade of artistry not only through sound but through a curated space that invites introspection and interaction.

As a band that has resonated with listeners through deeply personal yet universally relatable themes, Hyukoh’s Funeral for a Friend offers a poignant moment of reflection for both the artists and their audience. Whether longtime fans or newcomers to their music, visitors can expect a one-of-a-kind experience that merges sound, space, and sentiment in a deeply evocative way.

For those intrigued by experimental exhibitions or deeply connected to Hyukoh’s music, this three-day event is an unmissable opportunity to witness a decade-long story unfold in a unique artistic format.
