ZeroBaseOne has unveiled the cover and package images for their first Japanese EP, PREZENT, on their official social media platforms. The release, set for January 29, has already generated significant anticipation among fans.

The EP, available in four versions (Standard, Limited A&B, and Animation), highlights the group’s versatility, with each member showcasing distinct concepts for the various editions. This album is described as a heartfelt gift to their fans, Zeroze, expressing gratitude for their unwavering support.

PREZENT features six tracks, including four original Japanese songs. A representative from ZeroBaseOne’s agency emphasized, “As its title suggests, this album will truly be a gift for the fans.” The EP’s dual title tracks aim to demonstrate the group’s expansive musical spectrum, incorporating diverse genres for a polished and high-quality listening experience.

One of the title tracks, Now or Never, blends drum and bass with rock sounds, creating an energetic and dynamic anthem. Fans will also recognize Only One Story, which has been selected as the opening theme for the anime Pokémon.

ZeroBaseOne’s popularity in Japan is already substantial. Their debut single, Yura Yura -Unmei no Hana- (유라유라 -운메이노하나-), achieved half-million-seller status within just one week of release. The album also earned a Double Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan, with over 500,000 units shipped by March.

The group’s dominance extends to Tower Records, Japan’s largest record store chain, where their debut single topped the 2024 Bestsellers K-pop Top 20. Additionally, the single ranked 16th on Billboard Japan’s annual Top Single Sales chart, further solidifying their position in the Japanese music market.

Fans and industry insiders alike have high expectations for PREZENT, with many already anticipating another record-breaking release. The EP represents a major step forward in ZeroBaseOne’s global journey as they continue to captivate audiences with their unique sound and visuals.
