2024 Museum Week to be held in Korea until May 31

South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism hosts the '2024 Museum Week' program from May 2 to 31.
About 320 museums and art galleries participate in the event which will be held together by ICOM Korea and the National Museum Cultural Foundation.
The theme of Museum Week is 'Museums For Education and Research', which focuses on the natural functions and social values of museums and art galleries.
In particular, with concerns about the role of the institutions in the balanced development of local culture, also introduce travel programs that consider major cultural spaces in the region such as Local 100.
This year's Museum Week has a new variety of programs, including exhibitions incorporating experimental methods, experiential education, travel, and production of goods ideas.
The Hanyang University Museum in Seoul will hold a special exhibition to improve awareness of cement during the event, while the Daegu Textile Museum will hold a special exhibition to look at the history of Korean fashion.
