Xiumin of EXO is set to make his long-awaited solo comeback with his second mini-album, ‘Interview X’, scheduled for release on March 10. This marks his first solo project in two years and six months, promising fans an entirely new side of his artistry.
On February 14 at midnight, his agency INB100 unveiled a teaser image on its official channels. The image resembled a smartphone notification, reading, "Xiumin wants to share his mini 2nd album ‘Interview X’ with you." This cryptic yet engaging concept has heightened anticipation among fans, hinting at a deeply personal and introspective album.
‘Interview X’ is described as an album that allows listeners to discover new aspects of Xiumin. His agency stated, “This album reveals sides of Xiumin that fans have never seen before, capturing his untold stories and hidden charms.” Since his solo debut with his first mini-album in September 2022, Xiumin has explored various musical styles, and expectations are high for how he will evolve as an artist in this release.
Ahead of his comeback, Xiumin met fans in Japan on February 8-9 through ‘GET, SET, GO!’, a fan meeting held with fellow EXO-CBX members Chen and Baekhyun. The event showcased his enduring stage presence and reaffirmed his strong bond with fans.
With ‘Interview X’ set to unveil a new artistic direction, Xiumin is expected to engage in a series of promotional activities, further solidifying his identity as a soloist. His upcoming projects, both as an individual artist and as part of EXO, are highly anticipated as he continues to expand his musical journey in 2024.
